Rooting of Android, Precaution Advantage and Disadvantage

Rooting is the Android equivalent of jailbreaking; That means of unlocking the operating system so you can install unapproved (by Google) apps, update the OS, replace the firmware, overclock (or underclock) the processor, customize just about anything like installed application, maintain privacy with application access and so on. In a single word rooting, means take administrator power to control your android mobile in your finger tap.

Rooting of Android, Precaution Advantage and Disadvantage

Some precaution should take when you do root your phone. First of all, check your phone model no and Android version. Different mobile has different firmware, radio frequency, different processor and processor frequency. Check all those things before rooting.

Install a custom recovery

By default, the Android operating system possesses three methods of recovering a bricked/corrupted system: Download mode, the Bootloader, and the Recovery. The most important of these is the Recovery since it allows the restoration of a factory image — the original copy of your operating system. A custom recovery replaces the baked-in recovery inside of your phone and can perform a much wider range of options than the default system.
Two of the best custom recoveries are Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP)  and ClockWorkMod (CWM). CWM and TWRP are the two best-known custom recoveries. Unfortunately, not all devices are compatible, but if yours is, make sure to install one of the two.

Take a full backup of your phone

It is imperative. Rooting your Android device means messing with your file system so you should backup all your sensitive data and app information first. Although generally root procedures do not delete data yet, it’s fairly common to have data loss after attempting any root level modification

You can backup your contacts as a Vcard and save it on your PC. Backing up your media files on your PC is also a good idea.

Prepare your Phone for rooting

There are two broad categories into which rooting can arrange, rooting via an app or rooting via a connected PC. For both these methods to go through smoothly, you need to follow a few ground rules.

Developer Options should now be visible.

Settings >Applications> Unknown sources.

Charge your battery before rooting

For the root process to go through properly your battery must be charged. For some reason your phone shuts down in the middle of the procedure, you might end up with an expensive paperweight. So this one though simple is just as important. Charge your battery to a minimum of 80% before any flashing endeavor.

Use the correct USB drivers and USB cable

Installing the correct driver is a vital step in the root process. If you’re using a root method that uses the PC to root your device, then without the correct drivers the PC will fail to recognize the device and hence the root procedure will not begin. Equally important is using a high-quality USB cable because if the data connection with the PC broken in the middle of the process, then you will have a bricked device. You can find your Android Device USB Driver Here.
